Introduction
Just Metrics ("we," "us," or "our") provides federal sentencing analysis tools for legal professionals. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our services at justmetrics.org.
Our Privacy Commitment
We collect only the minimum information necessary to provide our sentencing analysis service—your name, email, and the case data you choose to enter. That's it.
What we don't do:
- We do not track your behavior across the web
- We do not use analytics or tracking pixels
- We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties
- We do not use your data for advertising
- We do not profile you or build data models about your behavior
What we will never do:
- We will never sell your data to anyone, for any reason
- We will never share your case information with anyone
- We will never monetize your information through advertising or data brokering
Your case data belongs to you. When you delete your account, we permanently delete everything—no hidden copies, no backup retention for marketing purposes. We mean it when we say your data is yours.

- Cancel your subscription
- Request a copy of your data
Account Deletion
You can delete your account at any time through your account settings. When you delete your account, we permanently remove:
- Your profile information
- All case data you created
- Generated PDF reports
- Authentication credentials
Some billing records may be retained as required by law for tax and accounting purposes. Additionally, if you used a free trial, we retain a hashed record of your email address for fraud prevention purposes (see "Trial Fraud Prevention" section below).
Cookies
We use essential cookies to maintain your login session. These cookies are necessary for the service to function:
- Authentication cookie: Maintains your login session for 7 days
- Session management cookies: Managed by our authentication provider
We do not use advertising, tracking, or analytics cookies.
Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active. Upon account deletion, we permanently delete your data, except where retention is required by law (such as billing records for tax purposes).
Trial Fraud Prevention
To prevent abuse of our free trial offer, we retain a hashed record of email addresses that have previously used a trial, even after account deletion.
What we retain:
- A one-way cryptographic hash of your email address
- The date when the trial was used
- No other personal information
Why we do this: This limited data retention is necessary to prevent fraudulent reuse of free trials through repeated account creation. This practice is permitted under GDPR Article 6(1)(f) as a legitimate interest for fraud prevention.
What this means: The hash cannot be reversed to reveal your email address. We cannot identify you from this record alone. If you create a new account with the same email address, you will not be offered another free trial.
Your rights: If you object to this processing, you may request deletion of your trial usage record by contacting support@justmetrics.org. We will evaluate such requests on a case-by-case basis, balancing your privacy rights against our legitimate interest in preventing fraud.
Age Restriction
Our services are intended for legal professionals and other adults. You must be at least 18 years old to use Just Metrics.

As a tool designed for federal criminal defense attorneys, we recognize the sensitive nature of the information you may handle. While we provide the platform for your analysis:
- You control what case information you enter into the system
- You are responsible for determining what information is appropriate to include
- Our service is designed to analyze sentencing data, not to store privileged communications
